General terms and conditions

Registration process

By registering, online, by phone or by email, you confirm that you have read and approved the general conditions. Your registration is considered final only upon receipt of payment or down payement.

Prices

The price includes the organization and supervision of the outing by a mountain leader/hiking guide certified by ASGM. For multi-day trips, the price includes half board accommodation. It does not include the cost of equipment rental, transportation, picnic, and other consumptions taken along the way. The number of participants in an outing is defined by safety and mobility criteria. Prices are calculated for a minimum number of people. If the number of participants is insufficient, the exit can be cancelled. Arrangements are possible in agreement with the customers (reduction of the duration, adaptation of the price).

Transportation

Transportation is not included in the registration fee and is the responsibility of the clients, unless specified differently. In general, outings are planned by public transport and, when this is not possible, carpooling is encouraged.

Change of program

Activities take place regardless of weather conditions, except in situations where the safety of clients is at risk. The guide reserves the right to modify the tour or the program defined according to the weather and/or the conditions on the field.

Cancellation policy

If the customer cancels a day trip for any reason less than 5 days before the outting, 50% of the price remains due. For a customized activity, 50% of the price remains due if the customer cancels less than 15 days before the outing and 100% less than 3 days before .For a multiple-days tour, an amount of 50% of the activity price is retained if the cancellation takes place less than 21 days and 100% less than 10 days before the start of the activity. If the hiking guide cancels the trip before the start of the activity, the full payment is refunded if it has been made. On the other hand, if the race is stopped in progress for safety reasons, payment remains due (non-compliance with the minimum recommended equipment or safety instructions, health condition of the customer endangering him/her or the group...).

Client's health status

The client must be in good health and have an appropriate physical condition for the race. In case of doubt, he will refer to his attending physician. If the client has a major health problem (e.g. heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, etc.), he or she must first notify the attendant (confidentiality guaranteed).

Accident insurance

The client must have accident insurance and assistance covering search and rescue costs, repatriation and medical expenses. It is advisable for the client to check the conditions and ceilings of his personal contracts, in particular on search and rescue. It is also recommended to have cancellation insurance. In Switzerland, you can be a donor to Rega, which allows you to be covered for repatriation by helicopter in Switzerland and abroad.

Services provided by a third party

The hiking guide assumes no liability for damages resulting from the fact that a third parties has not correctly provided the service planned by contract (e. g. hut warden in case of overnight stay or trips abroad).
